what is a truly beneficial aspects of the Fullerton school district is the variety of choice students and parents are offered when reaching Junior High with so many Superior options there is definitely a perfect fit for air student if you are considering Beachwood Middle School we want you to have a clear understanding of the unique structure and feel of our Middle School experience which is based upon the distinguished programs offered the X keys and philosophies of our highly qualified staff any extraordinary support from our community has to be authorized Baccalaureate middle years program Guided by the principles of holistic learning Intercultural awareness and communication students are challenged daily to focus on higher order critical thinking skills and collaborate learning through inquiry these philosophies and beautifully with the rigorous academic expectation that our teachers have for all students VIP program requires a well-rounded curriculum. addition to all the core subjects include technology Performing Arts Visual Arts and an introduction to a second language this means that our elective classes include these subjects are 6th grade students go through the day into our blocks by combining art culture and history into one class and Math Science and Technology into another students are able to develop their writing skills by experiencing readers and Writers Workshop over 2 hours are students also attend one. That's alternate the Fine Arts course and PE it's for. Day and 6th grade offer nice transition into 7th and 8th grade which includes all of the same subjects through at 7. A here's a quick glimpse into a day in the life of one Beechwood student who is an eighth grade my name is Amy I'm going to take you through my daily schedule for my face. I have cultural connections and that's what we create one about culture and when to speak and write in Spanish during my second. Everyone goes to either PE or I'll finance options are theater choir than photography or orchestra ice rose photography is my fine Encore which I have on Monday and Tuesday Thursday and Friday I will go to in my third-period cost or room I learn that their Island algebra for my fault. I go to language job for V. I go to social science and right now we're learning about the American Revolutionary War for my 6. I go to stem extensions for science technology engineering and math it's a challenging and interesting Project based upon and for my 7th or 8th. I go to science and right now we're learning about the orbit of the eye Beachwood is a smaller middle school but about a hundred students per grade level one distinguishing feature is a fact that all students have the same core subject teachers were both 7th and 8th grade this allows our teachers to get to know and understand their student on a deeper level and helps to prevent from falling behind academically we have implemented a daily response to intervention for RTI program that further support students who have the potential to better develop specific skills additionally we offer after-school clubs such as Mesa running club student leadership Writers Guild and Orchestra on FarmVille do the IB Program requires specific elective courses that do not include some of these are traditional elective course options the value of the well-rounded educational experience has proven to offer ample benefits for our family overall Beach what is an academically rigorous caring and nurturing environment that provides an exceptional Middle School experience we truly value the building of relationships over the middle school years and I found that our students move forward with an unparalleled level of confidence and lifelong learning skills we invite all who are in these values to join our community of learners if you were interested in learning more about the IBEW organization please visit ww.w.
